PLAA Member Dues
The Pretty Lake Advancement Association (PLAA) would like to thank everyone who has supported our community this year by paying their dues and contributed additional funds for the fireworks, general property and pavilion maintenance! We've made it easy for members to pay annual dues online
Your PLAA Dues Support The Following:
The many PLAA sponsored social events have included: The Easter Egg Hunt, Ladies Night, Fourth of July Parade, Fireworks, Family Picnic, Ice-Cream social/or truck, Harvest Fest, Holiday Tree Lighting with Santa and other events. Additionally, dues also support Welcome Baskets for our new neighbors as well as event decorations. Dues also help pay for insurance, pavilion and grounds maintenance, (such as mowing), upkeep of the baseball diamond, volleyball and basketball courts, swing set, and playground equipment on pavilion property.
Critical Additional Donations needed in Fundraising
The PLAA relies on generosity and participation of members in events, such as Silent Auctions, Wine Pull, raffles at community events and the popular meat raffles at the fishing jamboree. Separate Fundraising dollars support a PLAA contingency fund, dues payment deficits for the expense of fireworks, community improvements and special projects.
PLAA Events Depend On Your Support
Thank you to those who support the efforts of the PLAA. Whether this is your primary home or your family's cottage, it is only with your continued support that we can keep our Pretty Lake traditions alive as well as introduce new, fun events. Check out this website's current Calendar of Events for the most up-to-date information on upcoming activities.
Thank You To All Pretty Lake Community Volunteers & Donors
Thank you to all of our community volunteers and event supporters for all the time, talent and energy you have contributed. Your generosity is truly appreciated in giving back to our community!
BOAT LAUNCH ANNOUNCEMENT
When Pretty Lake water levels are up, please use the public (main boat launch) for launching boats. Note, there is a sandbar to the west, launch your boat to the east side as you back off the trailer. Turtle Rock access should be used only for carry-on access or when the water levels are very low and the sand is exposed. Thank you.
SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT
Please remember Safety First! Pretty Lake is a Neighborhood Watch Community. Be Aware & keep your eyes open for any strange vehicles and note the license plates. Many of us have a phone that we can snap a quick picture of a strange vehicle or even people. Every home should have a Neighborhood Watch magnet which lists the non-emergency sheriff number (262-446-5070) to call or simply reach out to a committee or board member for help. If you need a magnet please call 262-613-3423 and one will be delivered to your house.
Second and equally as important, please SLOW DOWN on Pretty Lake Road and on the lake!! With warmer weather comes more leaves on trees & bushes along roads making it harder to see all the walkers, bikers, and children playing outside. Let’s all do our part to keep Pretty Lake a safe community Report any suspicious activity especially during Pretty Lake's Independence Day Festivities, when there are more cars, people and boats here. This means all must exercise SAFETY while in the water and on the road. Follow all boating rules and Pretty Lake Road's posted speed limits. Please inform and educate your guests.
